SCENTOPIA – a guided digital story for families

11am-12pm or 2-3pm

King and Queen of Scentopia have vanished without the trace, new weeds are taking over, Scentopia is dying… Can you save the Kingdom?

Join us on a guided walk through Chalkwell Park uncovering the mystery of kidnapped King and Queen of Scentopia. We’ll cross the Green Sea, meeting Rose People – the guardians of the underworld, Wilfred – the tree spirit, and Hybrid – the monster with two heads in the City of Leaves.

Scentopia is one of five NetPark’s GPS-activated story apps. It was created by writer Syd Moore, illustrator Karl Lawson and artist Elsa James, working with the students of Greenways Junior School. Each chapter is located in a different part of Chalkwell Park and written in response to the actual park landscape, encouraging imagination and exploration of a familiar park in a completely new way.

Tickets: FREE but booking essential (limited places) – BOOK HERE: www.metalculture.com/event/netpark-open-day-digital-story-walkabout-free-family-half-term-event-in-southend/

Note: Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the session, so we can show you how to use the app.

Bring your own iPad or borrow one from Metal FREE of charge (ID required, must be over 18 to borrow an iPad).
