Come down to the LookOut Discovery Centre in Hyde Park during the May half-term holiday for nature inspired children's activities.

Tuesday 29th May

Explorers: Gardening Gang [[www.royalparks.org.uk/whats-on/upcoming-events/nature-explorers-gardening-gang]] - 10:00am - 3pm, £20 per child

Nature Explorers is the perfect place for your 8-11 year old to have a fun, outdoor day of discovery during the school holidays.

Drop your young explorer off during the May half term holiday to spend the day on a gardening adventure! They'll explore Kensington Gardens allotment, feed the chickens, examine the busy bugs in compost and water the new plants. Let them spend the day exploring some wilder parts of the park. They'll even get to plant a seed to take home with them. They'll get their hands dirty while learning how to bring a garden to life!

Wednesday 30th & Thursday 31st May

Day: Nature's Recyclers [[www.royalparks.org.uk/whats-on/upcoming-events/discovery-day-natures-recyclers-may-30th]] - 11am - 3pm, FREE
2 [[www.royalparks.org.uk/whats-on/upcoming-events/discovery-day-natures-recyclers-may-31st]]

This is a free, educational family day out all about nature's recyclers. Get messy in our mud kitchen, and hunt for detritivores that help turn dead matter in compost. Join in some arts and crafts by learning how to up-cycle your old t-shirts into colourful tote bags. The activities are suitable for the whole family to enjoy, allowing you and your children to connect with nature together (and giving you the chance to find your inner child!). There’s even a carpeted corner for those not yet walking, bringing nature inside with animal soft toys and puppets.

There will be a nature trail to follow and plenty of arts and crafts to keep your little ones entertained. They can even make a paper pot and plant a seed to take home. Or you can just relax on our sun deck and pause a moment to take in the natural world that hustles and bustles around us.
