Best mainstream schools for sen

Im looking for mainstream schools within Bromley Borough that are particularly good with sen. My daughter is going through the EHCP process and would definitely need 1-1 support in mainstream. Her difficulties are behavioural and not having the ability to manage her emotions. This would be for a year 3 place. Any recommendations would be appreciated

Hello,
I am in same situation as you were. Looking for a mainstream school that has a good SEN unit in Bromley/Orpington, for my daughter. She is in Year 1 and will go to year 2 from this year. I am moving from Newham, London and it's pity she is not getting the right support. Was your search successful? Can you provide some pointers, please? Thanks!

Unfortunately we never found one that could meet her needs and felt a specialist provision would be best. Few years in and I definitely feel I have made a decision. Do you have an ehcp, without one then you will be offered a school based on availability. We have just moved from Orpington and SEN was not picked up in my youngest daughtes school but then we have had covid to deal with the last few years so many children have been playing catch up. It was picked up in her new school within a couple of months of starting

Only just seen your response. If you don't have an ehcp then the schools then you may not have the choice to select based on needs. Most schools in bromley are oversuvsiso you will be only offered the nearest school with space. If you do have an ehcp then the best thing to do is call up a few schools and speak with the senco and go from there
