We're organising an Easter workshop for children and young people 10y onwards which takes place between Friday 13th and Saturday 14th April 2018 at Metal Art School in Chalkwell Park.

SPARK Motionstars Animation Masterclass - 10y+
2-day Easter Course at Metal Art School

‘Motionstars’ kicks off on the last Friday of the holidays – 13th April, with two days of mind-stretching, inspirational and creative stop motion animation adventures with artist Sophie Burrows from Animating Education.
Young people will have the choice of making their own puppet from armature wire and plasticine or using 2D animation techniques to produce a cut out style animation. Working with stop motion software, tablets and a DSLR camera we will work together to produce a short animated film.

SPARK is an ongoing programme of short, inspirational, artist-led courses for secondary school and college students, which have a contemporary focus that will develop a young person’s passion and potentially kickstart their own independent activities and a new direction on their creative journey. SPARK is programmed to cover a diverse range of creative approaches, offering essential skills and processes giving students a hands-on insight into a ‘real’ artist’s working methods in the inspiring environment of Metal Art School in Chalkwell Park.
