Relocating to Tunbridge wells, Kids at Mead school

Hi,
We are planning to move to Tunbridge wells in the summer from Essex. We have three boys who will be starting at the Mead school (yrs 3&2).

Is there anyone out there who can tell me about the essential pieces of uniform to buy (is there a 2nd hand sale?) and also provide insight as only parents would have?

New area + new school=trying not to freak out!

The Mead is a lovely school and Tunbridge Wells is a fantastic place to bring up children. I have a child in a infants so hopefully some one with an older child will come along and be more help as I am not sure about Juniors. We bought all the uniform on the list provided by the school that was not marked as optional and it has all been worn. The uniform has to be bought from a supplier in Hertfordshire called DJ uniforms. They have 25% off the Mead uniforms at the moment. There was talk of a new supplier being found but that does not seem to have happened yet.

Not sure about second hand uniform but Elizabeth Winter at the school would know.

Traffic in Tunbridge Wells can be dire in the morning if you are driving to school.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. Glad to know we made the right school choice! I will reach out to Miss Winter as suggested and hopefully make use of the 25% off the uniforms.
We haven’t found a place yet but am hoping i could walk the kids down instead and avoid the morning chaos.

How are you finding the Mead op? Did you find a suitable house? Just asking out of interest as we are considering the Mead at the moment.
