Crouch End Mum to Be looking for help/support/ groups to join
(6 Posts)Hi there I've just found out this week that I'm 5 week pregnant and so far I've not told anyone, apart from my partner. Feeling slightly overwhelmed. Wanted to see what good groups there were locally so that I can join and meet like minded ladies and people with similar due date, discuss what the best hospitals are etc...Basically just want to be able to talk to about it.
Hi there, I would recommend you download the app MUSH as you can input your due date and find people in your area with a similar due date. There also should be and NCT group you could join (costs a bit though!) and there are other antenatal classes that you could join (should be one through the hospital and I know of one called Bump and Baby Club)
Have you been to your GP yet? They should assign you to a midwife and you'll start having appointments with them and getting checks at the hospital.
There's also pregnancy yoga and things like that where you could meet people. A quick google should bring you lots of info. Good luck!
Sorry, I also meant to say, congratulations!!! I know it is overwhelming but there is loads of support out there if you make the first step to find it. I had mine nearly 5 years ago but I still remember the feelings when I first found out I was pregnant - I couldn't stop crying lol!!
Take it easy and enjoy it.
Thanks so much for your kind reply!! I feel like I'm much more on track now and am at 7 weeks! Have been looking up loads online and will try the MUSH app too. Also saw Bump and Baby which I will join eventually. Thanks again for taking the time to pass on the info Really means a lot! All the best

No problem! I'm glad you feel a bit better! For when you've had the baby there's a class called Nurturing Mums which looks great and there are plenty of baby groups you can go to!
