Hi all,

We’ve just had an offer accepted on a house in netherton. I’ve been assured it’s a nice area but we’re coming over from Manchester so I don’t know the area. Does anyone know what it’s like...the house is put into the countryside a bit?

Also I’m moving with my 6 month old son, does anyone know any good baby groups? I’m hoping to meet other mums as we’re not going to know anyone over there.

Thanks very much,

Natalie xx

Netherton is a nice enough area it's quiet. Close to motherwell and wishaw your kind of in the middle of both. I don't know about baby groups sorry, but i know there is a few in the sport centre in wishaw just depends on what your looking for xx

There are 2 Nethertons nr Huddersfield way. My brother lives in the one near Holmfirth. He used to commute to Stockport every day which had its challenges in the winter. Ill assume its the one near Meltham. Ive found some info i hope is still relevant.

Also Netherton looks lovely and quiet. Beautiful country side and option to go to Huddersfield or Manchester / Stockport.

Unless you mean the one in the Black Country? Which is also quite nice Smile

If you mean Netherton in Liverpool area, then parts of it is really bad.
