BHHS or BC?

Hello
any current vies on Brighton College v Brighton and Hove High School? I have a DD in Y5 and starting to look at options. Would love to hear from parents of DC in either school. Why did you choose it/how did you prepare for entrance test/are you happy with choice? Any views appreciated. Thanks!

Dd2 has been at Brighton College since year7 and is now in the sixth form. It's a terrific school, upbeat and nurturing. My daughter is bright but by no means super clever, she didn't prepare for the entrance exam ( her choice) but didn't find it too hard. Try an open day and get a feel for the place.

My older Dd went to BHHS from year 9 to year 11.

BHASVIC is a sixth form college. In my opinion it has a rather mixed reputation.

BHHS is the Brighton and Hove Girls School. It has a prep school in Hove and the senior school is very well located in town on the border of Hove and Brighton.

If your daughter joins the prep school, entry is usually guaranteed into the senior school, although they still sit the entry exam.

Brighton College and BHHS are very different schools, so I suggest you visit them both.
