There is I think a Cambridgeshire local page. This is Cambridge and usually relates to Cambridge and surrounding villages. You may have better luck there.

This is my neck of the woods. Unfortunately.
Property prices are relatively low but the area lacks any real character.
Lots of immigration to the area has resulted in a lot of bad feelings which is similar in lots of places.
They love Brexit around here!
Wisbech is the nearest to the village you mention. It was once a lovely Georgian market down but now is pretty grim. There is a lovely independent cinema called The Luxe and a National Trust house in the town but not much else in the way of anything interesting. There is little investment in Wisbech centre, which is a shame as it was probably lovely 50 years go.
Out of town there is an estate of large shops, a giant Tesco etc.
You would be near to Peterborough which has a shopping centre but not much to offer culturally and also Kings Lynn which I think is nicer.

Do you know where you would be likely to get work? How flexible can you be?
Wisbech area is quite run down but it does have some interesting bits.

Gorefield is nice for community. Wisbech has 2 cinemas but not a lot else to recommend it. It does try hard tho. Newton is more remote. Guyhuirn has very little also but closer to A47.

Whittlesey has good community spirit, as does March. I'd join some of the local area Facebook pages and see if you like what you see.

Do you have children? Or a need to commute for work? Any hobbies you want to pursue?
I don’t know Newton in the Isle at all. Guyhirn doesn’t even have a village shop as far as I can think. Gorefield does.
Have you looked at Parson Drove? Or over the border into Lincolnshire?

Quite frankly that part is a bit unpleasant. I would suggest looking at something on the way to Stamford. Thorney a very lovely villsgecto the east of peterborough. It's difficult to give better advise with a budget/work location/number of children/type of schooling you want.
