Should we move to Wotton-under-Edge or Dursley?

My husband and I want to move out of Bristol early this year and, after 2 years of scoping out areas, we have narrowed our search to Wotton-under-Edge or Cam/ Dursley. I know Wotton would be great but can anyone tell me about Cam/Dursley please? I’m concerned as it seems it might have a slightly ‘dodgy’ reputation! Where has that reputation come from? We want relative peace and quiet, great dog walks, a couple of good pubs and fast Broadband. A board games club, book club, crafting club, choir etc would be great. I’m really obsessed with getting this right as we moved into an allegedly ‘up and coming’ area in Bristol and I hate it, so have to choose wisely this time!

Dursley is beautiful but miserable, lots of people with drink/drug problems in the area. Definitely fits your requirements of good walks and a good pub though.
