Hi,

My daughter is currently in Year 5 and we are looking for different secondary schools around. We are in catchment area for Langley School for Girls and seen a lot of positive feedbacks already.
If your daughter is already in that school or just finished it, can you share your experience please! It worry why school is not Outstanding in reports. Is it still good school academically? Any insights and feedbacks are really appreciated! Thanks in advance.

It is a very good school, perhaps one of the best in the area. If you are in the catchment area, go for it, the boys school is outstanding and it is perhaps a matter of time for the girl's one to become outstanding. Outstanding schools for girls are Hays, Buller's Wood, Harris Bromley.
Ofsted is often not the most important thing, Langley girls has excellent reputation and I would rest assured that my daughter is in great hands.

We just got Langley Girls for the 2018 intake, our DD is currently in Y6.

We liked the school, not too keen on single sex but we are out of Hayes secondary distance wise so there were no other options for us.

They are getting a new head from September, the current one retires. Def go to the open day, I think it may be the 29th September this year.

Unfortunately in my opinion this school is now dreadful on account of the new headteacher.

The school was once outstanding but has now gone downhill.

Xyz are you able to elaborate? I've seen you post similar comments on a couple of threads. Thanks

I know some parents very upset at the new regime at Langley girls. Whilst Ofsted rate it Good it had been Outstanding I believe? The progress 8 seems to be holding up well over time which is positive.
