Relocating

Hi, I was hoping somebody could help a girl out. I’ve had a look at other threads but they don’t seem to harbour the answers I require. I’m moving to Dundee (from Perth so not far) in summer this year to finish up my degree. What I’m wondering is which are good areas to raise my Son. He’s 10 at the moment. I’m looking for areas that are quite residential and good for him being able to get out to play and close to good schools. He will be going into primary 7 so secondary schools are more important. Although we just live twenty minutes away, my knowledge of Dundee is fairly limited. Broughty Ferry looks nice but is out of my budget so looking for suggestions other than that.
