Burnt Ash School, Bromley - Is it really outstanding? Is the area THAT bad?

Hello,

I'm doing the rounds of primary schools in Bromley BR1 area and I really liked burnt ash, however the resounding opinion is that its in a bad area of Bromley so one to avoid - snobbery at its best!

I'm keen to hear form parents of children at this school - are your children enjoying it, do you enjoy the parent-school relationship and how have you fitted into the school life after your child has started here. Im' keen to put it down but keen to hear from the horses mouth!

It's a good school with excellent teachers and management. It may not be in a posh area but that means very little. As it continues to improve and the schools around it continue to get worse it will become really popular. It probably benefits from having poorer kids because it gets more pupil premium. But the management know what they are doing with that money and the results reflect that.

@AppleHEAD such wise words, could not agree with you more! Do you have children at the school?

Llee79 I've never been called wise!
No but friends do and if I had to decide where I sent my kids again it would be there.

There is a boy in my son's class from this school in their secondary last year. He is constantly challenging other children and does not perform very well. It is perhaps a single occasion but I wanted to share.
