Hi all,
As per the bromley primary admissions team, my son starting school in September 2018 has a good chance of entry in all of the above schools.

With highfield and harris shortlands, there is the ofsted outstanding rating.

But I would like to know your experience in any of the above schools. Distance wise i am close to St-marks, but all are walkable, except La Fontaine current campus.

Also, if any of you have experience of after school clubs in above schools please share.

My son is a very bright 3 year old, but it does need a gentle environment to get him to be comfortable in a place. It took a lot of patience from his pre school teachers to get him to settle. I am just really hoping that he likes his school and settles well !

My daughter goes to Highfield infants and is very happy there, the reception classes teachers were amazing with her and there are lots of opportunities for parents to come in which might help with the settling in. The settling in process is also over 2 weeks with a gradual build up to a full day.
My youngest will be starting reception in September and is so excited to do all the things her sister has.

I know it's a long time ago but my sister was in the first class ever at Highfield, we all went there (about 55 years ago!), we loved it and it still has excellent reports.

My Dd sent to Highfield, the only reason I didn’t pull her out was because I couldn’t get her into another school. Their outstanding ofsted is years old & it would be interesting to see what their says results would be without all of the tutoring.
The school does not deal well (at all) with bullying & if your child needs extra help it’s not forthcoming. A few years ago the school had lots of long term well thought of staff, in recent years staff turnover has increased massively - which has to tell you something about the school.

Thank you all for valuable feedback. Nancy75 you mention bullying was this to your daughter or in her class ? Also, is this infant school or junior ?

The infants was not too bad ( although lots of children were tutored from year 1) the junior school was the School with the bullying issues ( to my daughter and to quite a few others)
The head is head of both schools so I presume the ethos covers both schools

Thanks nancy75 for your reply. It is indeed worrying.

La Fontaine has fab after school provision. Both individual clubs and a general after school club that runs until 7pm.

Hi, ive just seen your post regarding highfields, my daughter has just received a place and is due to start in september 18, what school did your child recieve? X

Hi Leia 94
How have you found reception at Hjghfield? I wasn't keen upon my visit which was disappointing given I had thought it was going to be my first choice, We have a place but not exactly excited about this, so any feedback appreciated!
