I'm visiting Bath Christmas market with some friends and have been advised it gets really busy and to book somewhere to eat. Looking for for recommendations please for reasonably priced pubs. Thanks Smile

I like The Cosy Club.

Are you talking evening? What type of food do you like? Cosy Club is nice as a PP suggested. The Stable is nice (more pizza, cider). Hall and Woodhouse, Cote Brasserie (French). Sotto Sotto is supposed to be amazing (Italian). Yak Yeti Yak also supposed to be good. The Raven is nice too (lovely pies, pub).

I thought sotto sotto was a little overrated to be honest. I always enjoy carluccios - never can get enough of the spaghetti a la vongole.
The Marlborough tavern on the other side of Vicky park is nice if you don’t mind a short walk. Lovely pub with good food and a little away from the crowds.
Otherwise, if you just want pub food Graze - next door to the station - is a Bath ales pub, good for steak and hearty food.

If you are after pub food then The Crystal Palace is very convenient for the market.

A bit further out but might be less crowded: ring o bells in Widcombe or King William on London Road.

Pretty sure the Raven doesn't take bookings.
Cosy Club is a chain pub; I have been to it and and Hall and Woodhouse several times (always for work do's) and have never enjoyed the food.
I do recommend the Marlborough as someone above has suggested; there's also its 'sister pub' Chequers closer to the market.
I highly recommend Yum Yum Thai cafe—great food and not expensive, and right in town.
Chapel Arts Cafe has great vegetarian food for lunch or dinner, and you can book a table in the evening. Again, it's very close to the market.

The ones I was going to suggest are already mentioned.
What about Framptons Cafe Bar and Kitchen, on Grand Parade round the corner from the Christmas market.Have only been once but liked it.

Chequers is fab. Walkable. But definitely book.
