Moving to Shoreham by Sea

Hi all, my family and I are relocating to Shoreham by Sea in January from the Netherlands (we are originally from the UK) and we are looking for somewhere to rent. From what I can tell there isn't a great deal of choice in the area, and it's probably not an ideal time of year to move, but I just wondered if anyone has any tips, knows of any good places, areas to avoid etc?? We will rent to begin with and then plan to buy somewhere so we can be flexible with the rental property. We need two beds and we have a 13 month old son so somewhere that is child friendly. Emerald Quay seems to come up a lot.. does anyone live there, know anything about it etc? Budget wise we would like to spend around 1000 PCM but can stretch to 1200 PCM for the right place. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. We plan to come back in November for a week to find somewhere. Thanks so much.

Hello! Emerald Quay is on the beach and is a mix of private and social housing. It has its own swimming pool which is a bonus and is lovely and close to the beach itself. There’s a few parks in the immediate area as well. Short walk into town. Generally alright!

Emerald quay is nice enough but it’s worth thinking about your commute to work as Shoreham beach gets very busy at peak times to leave from and get home. The beach area can be more expensive too, we pay under £1000 for a two bedroom place in Shoreham town and it’s good for getting to places and great to be able to walk into Shoreham.
