If you've ever wanted to be more confident to get out into woodland with your children or grandchildren, this may interest you...

People don't always think of it but Croydon is one of London's greenest boroughs and we have amazing parks and woodlands all around us.

How often do we get out into them?

Wild in the City! is running Nature Connectors, starting next week to explore this question and get more people into nature.

It's an opportunity to be part of a group of people exploring potential barriers to accessing green and wild spaces for people from BAME backgrounds, and overcoming them through fun and informal outdoor experiences.

Over 6 sessions you'll learn, and have a laugh smile, in the great outdoors - walking, sharing food around the fire, making crafts with natural materials.

The course is totally free thanks to the London Borough of Croydon.

The course will run from 10:00 am til 14:45 on consecutive Fridays from 22nd September in parks all over the Borough. We pay travel expenses!

We'll give people the skills and confidence to go out and enjoy nature in Croydon's beautiful parks and woodlands and then pass on that confidence and those skills to their friends, families, neighbours and communities.

Free wellies and waterproofs, free organic food and plenty of tea and talk over the camp-fire.

Please join us, we have 7 places left and would love to have you on board!

Go to Facebook to watch one of our Nature Connectors talk about the benefits of going out into nature and being confident to share that with children!
