Finding a local childminder/nursery

Hi Ladies,
I am a first time mum and wondered if you could recommend any childminders/nurseries in the area or where best to find someone reputable? Im a first time mum and looking to go back to work in the next few months but as im freelance i wont need them every day and sometimes it could be last minute and not sure where to start but want to trust the person i'm leaving my LO with.
