Stover v Abbey School

We are looking at a prep school in South Devon and we're wondering which school is better. Abbey in Torquay or Stover. We have visited both and look good, Stover with big,open spaces and forest school etc. Abbey is smaller but noticed lots of staff changes and wonder if Stover is better or if Abbey would be closed with small numbers.
Any advice would be great

I hope this doesn't cause more confusion but have you looked at Trinity School in Teignmouth. My DS went through the prep school and it was amazing. They have excellent grounds and the advantage of a wonderful swimming pool which is well used! For me Trinity is better than both Stover and Abbey School.

Vote against Trinity school here. Ridiculously low numbers of children there and constant rumours of closure. We pulled our children out from there as there are a lot of rumours and bad practices going on. Can't see it limping on for many more years.
