Abingdon and Headington schools - where to live

Hello!
We have been lucky to get places in these two schools but are now facing the commuting dilemma...We currently live quite far from both so are thinking of moving closer to Oxford.
I was initially considering only villages between Abingdon and Headington but having looked at the school bus routes I am thinking that Oxford itself could work well, I think Summertown seems well serviced by the Abingdon buses?
Can anyone make some suggestion as to the areas that work well for the commute to those schools please? Ideally I do not want the children to spend more than 30 min on the buses or me in the car driving them. So far I have Summertown, Ifley, Kennington as potentials... I do not mind living in a village either as long as it has some public transport links too. If somebody has already solved the commute problem please share your wisdom with me!))) Thank you!!!!

I have friends with a girl at Headington and a boy at Abingdon. They live on Harcourt Hill. I think it works well for school transport - there are buses nearby for both schools. There are nice large houses much cheaper than Summertown with lovely views over Oxford. It wouldn't be my choice - it feels a bit "nowhere" to me. Not properly in Oxford but without its own identity either. But they have been happy with it.

And as a second thought, any tips on good junior netball clubs around Oxford please? My daughter loves netball and loves playing competitively. THANK YOU!

No idea - sorry! We live about 20 miles away from Oxford. Good luck with the move.
