Hello all,
Public Health England are looking for Suffolk Mums who would be happy to talk to the media about their breastfeeding experiences as part of their Breastfeeding Awareness Campaign which launches this week.
Would you comfortable with the following:
To have your picture taken?
To be filmed?
To speak with the media – radio, local/regional/national press journalists?
Questions that you may be asked include:
Why did you choose to breastfeed?
Did you feel any pressure to breast or bottle feed (health visitor/midwife/family/partner etc.)?
What barriers did you face when breastfeeding?
How did you find breastfeeding initially? Many women are surprised by how difficult they find it.
What advice would you give other mothers trying breastfeeding?
How long did you breastfeed your child for?
Were you comfortable breastfeeding in front of people you were close to (partner/family/friends)?
How do your friends feel about breastfeeding?
Did you feel comfortable breastfeeding in public?
What things do you think, if any, would help mothers feel comfortable breastfeeding in public?
Has anybody ever come up to you ask you to stop breastfeeding in public?
Have you ever had anything embarrassing happen to you whilst you were breastfeeding?
If you have/were to have another child, would you breastfeed? Why?
If you are interested in helping with this, please email your details to
[email protected]
Many thanks,
Mumsnet Suffolk
