I was wondering if you could help us?

We are a small community group in Cambridge with ties in Jordan. We are hoping to ship several tonnes of toys and education materials to children and young people, in Jordan''s refugee camps. Jordan has welcomed over 1.5 million refugees, over 50% of which are under 18. Many of who have seen their homes destroyed and have lost family members. We were wondering if you would like to join us in helping these children. We are collecting toys, pencils, drawing books, exercise books, English and Arabic text books and clothes. Our hope is to collect all the donations by 15th March, have a week for sorting and to ship at the end of March with the freight arriving in late April, where we have access to the Zaatari refugee camp and a team will distribute the toys.

There is limited electricity in the refugee camps so toys that need batteries or to be charges will not be suitable. Second-hand toys are welcome so long as they are clean (however if a family is experiencing chicken pox, measles or a bad flu in the family we would ask them not donate). Also toys which are war-related are not suitable. We are not allowed to any liquids or food items.

We are raising money to cover the shipping and to be able to give money to struggling families.

If there is any way that you could help please let us know.

Thank you very much.
