Hello all (or few? It never seems to get very busy around here!)
It's been a while since we managed a meet up. Shall we give it another go?

Hi! I'm up for another meet up! I've probably name changed since last time - I'm the one who moved here 2.5 years ago, am a teacher and had to get back in a hurry for my new puppy at the first meet-up, if that helps!

ElizaBennett Thu 16-Feb-17 13:42:17

Holmes? Have we talked recently on the main page about the 'green' school too? wink

I was thinking maybe Sizergh Castle one weekend? Coffee in the cafe then a walk round the nature trail bit with any kids (or overgrown puppies) that are with us?

Yep, that's me! Sizergh is a great idea!

Great. Shall I throw in a provisional date too? Sunday 5th March?

Arghghg did I just miss a meet up??

Eolian Fri 24-Mar-17 22:53:01

No - we never got around to fixing one! So sorry Eliza, the thread fell off my radar. Are you still up fof a meet-up?

Untidyinsouthlakes Fri 24-Mar-17 23:00:16

I'd be up for a meet up if anyone's about?

So difficult to keep track of these threads as they don't pop up on normal mumsnet? Do they? Or am I being dense?

Eolian Fri 24-Mar-17 23:04:50

No they don't- you're not being dense grin. Whereabouts are you? Did you come to the last meet-up. It was aaages ago and I can't remember who was who (plus I've name-changed since then, and so might everyone else have!).

maisybobbins Fri 24-Mar-17 23:13:24

I didn't come to the last meet up, though wish I had. Could do with meeting some new folks. I'm in a village about 15 mins from Kendal. DC 4 and 8. How about you?

Eolian Sat 25-Mar-17 00:12:31

I'm also in a village about 15 mins from Kendal and have dc 8 and 11!

maisybobbins Sat 25-Mar-17 04:38:06

Ha! Our children are probably at the same school!

Just wondering how to boost this post. If we keep babbling on will it get onto 'active' do you think?

Eolian Sat 25-Mar-17 08:09:18

Are you new to the area, maisybobbins ? I've been here 2 and a half years.

maisybobbins Sat 25-Mar-17 18:00:22

Actually no, have lived here for about ten years. But just feel like meeting some new people - people from somewhere other than my village! Where have you moved from? Are DC in the village school?

Eolian Sun 26-Mar-17 09:08:28

We moved from Oxfordshire (this is the first time I've lived further north than that!). Ds goes to the village school, as did dd until she started secondary school in September. We're both teachers.

maisybobbins Sun 26-Mar-17 23:02:18

Well it's nice to kind of meet you Eolian! Maybe soon we will get a few more people along to this thread and organise a meet up.

Eolian Mon 27-Mar-17 08:26:09

Likewise grin.

Hi. I am due to move to Houghton, Carlisle next week. I have a 3 year old daughter. Would love to meet other Mums....could I join any meet ups you have? :-)

maisybobbins Sun 23-Apr-17 22:24:35

Hi Katie, where are you moving from? We will be at opposite ends of Cumbria I'm afraid but I'm open to meet ups in the middle. Good luck with the move!

katie2323 Sun 23-Apr-17 23:06:02

Hi. Thanks. We're moving from Guernsey. Meet up in the middle sounds great to me :-) x

katie2323 Sun 21-May-17 19:39:10

Hi all

Anyone keen to arrange a meet up? I am so missing our Guernsey family friends as is my daughter and we are feeling quite isolated now here in Houghton, Carlisle :-(

maisybobbins Mon 29-May-17 23:03:50

Katie I absolutely would if we were a little closer... But think we are about an hour and a half apart! Boo.

Hello. I'm gatecrashing your thread. Anyone in Keswick? Moving with boys; 3,5 and 7 in the new year. Totally up for meeting new people and seeing the area (know Cumbria pretty well after many years of staying with family) but living in Keswick while different ball game!

Tickledblue Tue 09-Jan-18 23:12:02

Hi there. I am a bit late to the party! I have moved to Kendal and would really appreciate getting to know a few people so would defo be up for a meet up. My two dc still at home are 14 and 17 so not much chance of meeting Mums at the school gate.
Am also new to mumsnet- do I have to keep checking in? No app/alerts etc?
Will check in later to find out.....
