Hi,
My daughter is currently in Year 1 at a local Primary school, but we are considering moving her to one of the private schools. As neither of us went to private school, nor are local to York we really don't have anyone to ask for first hand experience of the schools.
The Mount is logistically the easiest for us to move to, and we visited last weekend at their open day. They were very welcoming, but I am concerned about the low number of pupils and how the school can be financially viable.
The other options are the Minster school, Bootham or St Peter's (Clifton). She seems fairly bright, and was certainly working at the standard of the current Mount Year 1 class from what we saw on the weekend but she is certainly not especially gifted.
Do any of you have any insights that you could share with me to give us something to go on. It's such a lot of money! Thank you
