Where is a great place to eat that is also child friendly?

My mum has a significant birthday this year and I'm trying to find a restaurant in South(ish) Norfolk or Norwich for a really good meal that is also child friendly. I think what I really want is The Pigs but we don't want to schlep up to Edgfield, and we've been there done that tbh.

There is the Wildebeest in Stoke Holy Cross but there is nowhere for children to entertain themselves. Kindreds in Wymondham is really not child friendly and I need something with better accessiblilty due to mobility problems of one of the guests and poor eyesight from others.

I am going to try and get a babysitter but the problem is that it will be a bank holiday weekend and our normal childcare is usually on holiday then.

Help!?!

Try the Georgian Townhouse in Norwich - they have a fab kid's room with toys and a tv, plus an excellent outside area if it's not too cold or grotty outside! Food is good, especially the Sunday roasts and if you let them know it's a special birthday they usually put on a bit of a fanfare!

Dh has been to the kings arms in fleggburgh and really rated it for food and child friendliness. Food good at Georgian townhouse but we've always found the service to be less than great. If you don't mind the city I went to the cote restaurant in norwich today for my birthday lunch with my 2yo Grin and it was kid friendly with colouring and a bit special too. Great for gluten free was my main reason for going.

Wow thank you everyone. It looks like we've got some new places to visit and try out for, er, research purposes. Yes, research.
