piano needed

Can anyone help a clueless mother about a piano for two children at grades 3 and doing well? Where is the best place to look and what should we avoid? I've been looking at ebay, dailyinfro, craigslist etc... but the prices seem to fluctuate so massively that I'm lost. Piano teacher can't help as we're between them.
