Whiteley Shopping Centre

Hi,

I am currently looking at thee development of Whiteley Shopping Centre and the impacts that the development has had on the area in my Geography class. We need to try and gather as much information as possible for this study and it was suggested that I could gather some secondary data by posting on this forum and collating the responses. If you have been affected by the development of Whiteley and wouldn't mind sharing your views, please let me know by either answering the questions below or just sharing your experiences of the impact of the development.

Has the development had any impact on traffic in the area, if so how?
Has it had an adverse effect or positive effect on the shops in other areas?

I live nearby but try to avoid Whiteley at all costs. Traffic getting in and out can be hell on earth unless you go very early or late.
I don't think it's made any difference to other shops nearby.
