Porn on Manchester Streets! CAM4 Taxis

Hi all,

I'm not sue if anyone else has seen this, but there is porn advertised on the side of taxis in Manchester at the moment! Here's some pictures I found of them from the company's twitter.

Now, I'm not a prude, but these images are in public, children see them! There's girl is on the side of the taxi and it says "she's only a click away" and the website advertised goes to their porn site, live girls and guys naked you can talk to!

If any child sees that website advertised and goes on there, they are going to see naked images and be able to chat with naked porn stars!

Am I too old fashioned? Is this acceptable now?

No this is not acceptable now. Someone has also started a thread in Feminism about it.
Hmm I think a letter to our MP's is the next step

Yes, maybe that's the way forward. I just want more people to see and realise... it can't just be us that feels this way. Maybe the papers would like to show the whole city what they've allowed on our streets!

I might have a look at the Manchester Evening News Site, and see if they are covering it

This is actually really bad. Who do you complain to? Who actually agreed to this?

I don't know, but it's almost like I don't just want to complain to who ever (MP?) and get it taken down (I want that as well obviously, asap!) but I want to make an example, or this could just happen again! I feel so strong about this, i can't believe what I saw. I'm going to email //www.cam4.com and see what they say. And yes! Manchester Evening Standard is a good shout, can you just email them??

I actually complained about these adverts to the council in July and they replied and said: Thank you for informing us. This was unauthorised and has now been removed
