On the off-chance that anybody drifts past this thread, I just wanted to share Fitmums and Friends new programme, offering 3 free supported exercise sessions in Hull and East Yorks.

Launching on 9th May, our In The Pink scheme will match you up with a trained volunteer runner from Fitmums and Friends who will meet up with you beforehand, and then stick with you for three free Fitmums sessions - so you'll have a friendly face to make joining a running group a bit less scary, and hopefully it will be the start of a whole new life as a regular runner!

Fitmums & Friends welcomes all standards of runners including those who have never run before but fancy having a go. Sessions offer a choice of distances with a 1,2,3,4,5 and 6+ mile group on offer at each session with a run leader for each group. No need to worry about holding the group back: the ‘shepherding’ system ensures everyone exercises at an appropriate level for their ability with the reassurance that you will never be left behind. Everyone is committed to this system which is what makes Fitmums & Friends so very supportive.

There are details of all the different Fitmums groups in Hull on the listings pages here, and you can find out more at //www.fitmums.org.uk. If you'd like to start our In The Pink scheme, please email [email protected].
