We are looking for volunteers to take part in a study investigating brain activity when doing maths. Participants must be 10-12 years old, right-handed, with English as their native language, and have normal (or corrected to normal) vision and hearing.

This would be a great opportunity for your child to practice maths, experience the recording of brain waves and get involved in scientific research! Participants will be asked to complete measures of numeracy, literacy, language and reasoning. They will then perform a computerised maths task whilst wearing an EEG cap that records their brainwaves.

The study will take place at the university of York and last around 2.5 hours (3 hours max.). We are hoping to see families during the Easter holidays at a time convenient for you. If your child is interested in participating, please contact Oliver Smith, Cathy Ruan, or Yue Qi for further details.
