Hello,

I'm moving to Sketty at the end of the month from Yorkshire. I don't know anyone in Swansea and have a 5 week old baby whom I'd like to take to local groups. Are there any breastfeeding support groups, etc. in Sketty I could join when I move? Being with a newborn is lonelier than I thought and without having any friends in the area I'd like to get out and meet other people as much as I can. Thank you.

Sandra

Hi there,

I don't know if this really helps, but I live in Uplands, near Sketty (moved here last September) and am expecting my first in July, so not going to any groups or anything, but if you wanted to meet just for a coffee or something give me a shout?

Hi dreamybeans, I'd love to. I found groups and met some nice moms as well. Sorry I only just saw this! Sandra

Hi Sandra, there is a local baby group in Sketty called babybods. (Search hollibods) It's fab. My two are 4&6 now but they both went when they were tiny, and I met loads of people there :)

There is also a mothers exercise boot camp on swansea bay (I think - by cafe 360) where I believe you bring babies in prams, and do workouts on the sand both with and without the prams. Never done this, but seen it advertised a lot and looks good. :) Also baby groups in the LC2, again, never done these but heard good things.

In mumbles, there is baby yoga in cafe play.

Hope that helps x

My sister took her little one to Baby Love in the LC. You'll have to check if it's still going as my niece is nearly 6. My sister made a great friend when she was there and the children are still best of friends.

Thank you. I did see hollibods' flyer, I'll look it up. Baby love is apparently very popular. It'seems full at the moment but I'm going to try and get on it next time!
