Wexham hospital and alternatives

Hi there,
My partner and I currently live in London and are expecting our second child in July. We are registered at Queen Charlotte's hospital and so far everything is going ok. We are looking to move to Windsor in April but I've just realised that the closest labour ward is Wexham Hospital. I've been there and found it crowded and dirty. I've heard many bad things about it and it's ratings are poor. However, surely everyone who lives in Windsor gives birth there so it can't be all bad, can it? Do you think we should stay put until after the baby is born or is it not as bad as it is made out to be?
Thanks very much.

I delivered in Wexham in October 2015 and found the care exceptional. I was high risk and was induced and ended with a c section but had lovely midwives, doctors and other staff help me. It was incredibly busy they were taking mums from Reading as Royal Berks maternity was closed. Due to complications I was in for nine days so got to know the place quite well. I thought the meals were great, midwives were busy but helpful. If you want to BF I'd look for a private lactation consultant.

The birthing centre is amazing as Wexham as well I know someone who delivered there.

I did find it noisy but that's no one fault it just is incredibly busy. I did feel visiting hours were respected which I liked.

Parking is a nightmare but that's pretty standard.

Wexham has been taken over by Frimley and I thought the most recent inspection was good? Two years ago I was one of those being threatened with diversion from Royal Berks, and was all set to refuse, but I'm not sure I'd be quite so concerned now.
