My first ever post! We are relocating to Wokingham and would be very grateful for some current, local opinion on Holme Grange and Waverley schools. Reputation, style of teaching, anything really to help outsiders make a decision for our 7 year old son. Many thanks in advance.

I can highly recommend Waverley School. Great SATS results, small nurturing school, new facilities being implemented. First Class teaching in maximum 18 children classes with Qualified teacher and LSA. New Head implementing different teaching styles and gaining many fixtures. Outdoor classroom, forest school trained staff. Nursery provision. Extended day from 730-6.

Holme Grange is excellent. Really concentrate on the child's personality & social awareness.

They now take children up to 16

Might be bias as I'm an ex pupil & my DS is down to start

I actually am ex pupil of Waverley also, but my parents moved me to Holme Grange. We're taking 35 years ago mind you.

Holme Grange I was very happy at

Hello, I am guessing you have made your decision now but I wanted to add to the discussion in case anyone else is searching for information!
We looked round Holme Grange recently and were very impressed - we will be sending our children there in September.
I highly recommend looking round, the facilities are gorgeous and the staff are helpful and friendly.
Reading the latest report also helped us:

Fingers crossed the kids will love it!

Holme Grange is Fab - really know the children - both my children went there and were very happy. Holme Grange also have the NACE award which is for more able and talented children.
