Help needed in Mid Cornwall

Hi, hope this is ok to post.

My Guide unit owns its meeting place with the Scouts. It was built in 1918 and is currently falling down around us. We are trying to raise funds to knock it down and build a new one which will provide a safe meeting place for many years to come.

We have planning permission and are at the stage of wanting to apply for the big grants but have been told that we need evidence of community support before applying or it is very likely that we will be turned down. If there is anyone in the Mid Cornwall area that would potentially be interested in hiring the hall when it is done then I would be grateful if you get in touch. I have a letter that I can send and all I need is a very simple form filled in saying who you are and how often you think you may want the hall. There is absolutely no obligation to use the hall by doing this, we simply need proof that the community is behind us to be able to apply for grants.

We have been told it will cost around £250k to do this so we really do need all the help we can get. We have a Facebook page if you want to find out more about us
