Nursery recommendations - south of Lincoln

Hi

We are moving to Lincolnshire in the coming months and are open to living in any area/village/town within about 20-30 mins of North hykeham but preferably to the south/south west (I am assuming this would include sleaford and maybe as far as newark?). A big part of where we pick is based on a nursery choices; we have 2 children (2 and 9months) and am looking for a nursery that has a big and well used outside space and provides home cooked healthy food - any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

I would strongly recommend Glebe Farm Nursery on Heighington Road near Canwick. They are the nicest nursery that we found in the area, have great outdoor facilities, home cooked food. For older preschoolers they do "woodland school" sessions which are totally outdoors. My little boy has done really well there and loves going. They are about 20-25 mins from North Hykeham, where we live. Heighington and Washingborough are nice villages too, but it would be within reach of lots of other places too. Their website is www.glebefarmnursery.com Be warned, they do have a waiting list.

I was going to recommend Glebe Farm as well, lovely place from everything I've heard. There are some great areas around there too with outstanding primary schools which aren't too expensive.

Thank you so much Spanielface and mrslegume Glebe Farm looks exactly the sort of thing I've been looking for and hadn't found it on my google hunt! We are moving from the Isle of Man so such a help to have a short list as our visiting time will be limited!!

Going against my original South/south west brief I found Heath farmhouse (www.heathfarmdaynursery.co.uk/heath-farm/) in Dunholme - any thoughts?

Thanks again!

Sorry, don't know that side of Lincoln very well. Crossing Lincoln at rush hour is a nightmare, I start early and finish early because of this.

I would think carefully about living on the opposite side of the city to work, the roads in Lincoln become gridlocked very quickly.

If you need any more help then don't hesitate to get in touch, we moved here 8 years ago for work and rented a few houses in different areas before we bought one to ensure we got the right place.

Me neither, sorry. And I would agree with what MrsLegume says - we live in Hykeham, and the traffic locally can be awful, so it would be worth thinking about that before buying/renting a house. If you need any help then let me know. My husband is Lincoln born and bred, but I moved here 7 years ago. It's a great little city.

I'm late to this but my son goes to Heath Farm. It's lovely... like a real farm. They have sheep, pigs, chickens and a goat that wanders around with the children. I'm so pleased with my choice. The staff are all lovely too
