As part of my visit from the States, I'm spending a few days with relations in Baildon and need to borrow or hire a car seat. Does anyone have one I could borrow or hire....suitable for 14 month old.
Thanks

Hi Imogen, when are you looking to visit the area? We are heading to the States at the beginning of September and found it cheaper to take our own with us rather than hire when out over there as it's free, could that be an option?

There is a company called - //www.babycomes2.co.uk who hire out various baby items. Depending on how long you are visiting it may be worth buying a car seat for the duration, Kiddicare have a 1 2 3 car seat for £35 at the moment which may work out cheaper than hiring / borrowing.

Hey imogen just had a quick look they sell them in argos for around £25. Maybe ask relatives to pick you one up before you arrive?

Imogen I am in Baildon. Try joining the Baildon/Shipley buy & sell page on Facebook and ask if anyone could lend you one or if they have one for sale. Someone is bound to have one knocking about. There's another selling page just for Baildon which is much better than the Baildon/Shipley one and is full of the local mums - if you send me a PM I can add you on Facebook then add you to the selling group if that helps. Also try the Baildon WI page on Facebook. Maybe ask your family to post on your behalf as I'm sure someone will be able to help.

I'm a bit funny about buying second hand car seats unless I know who I'm buying them off

Actually that's a good point, especially if you can get a new one for 25 quid from Argos!
