Advice needed on school holiday childcare

Hello

My daughter starts primary school in September & the school don't offer any summer holiday provision. Luckily they have breakfast club & after school club for term times as myself & my partner work full time. What is available in summer holidays in north leeds?

Also, we have no wider family support so this is not an option.

Not sure exactly on your area, but in general there are lots of sports/craft camps around. Are you looking for this summer or next year?

Hi, thanks for responding. It's for next summer, summer of 2016. My daughter starts school in sept 2015. I'm think of maybe applying for unpaid leave to top up annual leave. I just wondered what's available & what other working parents do. Getting stressed about the amount of holidays to cover

It is difficult certainly if you work full time. One of us works part time so that means there's not as many days to cover, and also have some family help. There will be sports/dance/craft camps which tend to be advertised through school. The one my daughter went to there were a few others from her class so at least it wasn't all strangers.

Other than that, parents take it in turn to have time off and organise play day swaps with friends. It isn't easy.

Lots of the schools offer holiday clubs that take children from other schools than their own, Highfield do, Candystripe in Chapel Allerton do a playscheme I think, and Shadwell Childcare in Shadwell do one as does GSAL. There are plenty of options if you look round. I think if you look on the family hub website it lists holiday provisions.
