Moving to Cornwall

Hi

My husband is taking a job in the St Austell area so we are relocating to Cornwall. We don't know the area at all so would be grateful for some insight into areas to consider.

We need to consider schools too and would like somewhere within reasonable commutable driving distance of St Austell. We both like surfing but don't want to be too close to the really touristy areas so we can move a little in summer.
