Hi,
I am Nottingham based Theatre designer and mother of a 5 year old. This call for participation is due to my desire to create more interactive theatre for under 4's. So I started a PhD study in September 2013 to research this area and I am holding my first study on the week of 9th of Feb 2015.
The University of Nottingham, PhD student Roma Patel and the Lakeside Arts Centre are holding a three day research study in order to test different interactive technologies and digital smart materials for making interactive theatre for children 4 and under. We are interested in learning how to better design and make sensory theatre experiences for young audience.
In order to carry out this study we are looking for parents/carers and children between the ages of 18 months and 4 years to participate. If you and your child decide to participate, it will involve joining one or more of activities planned during the three day study. The activities are child-led and involve interacting with a performer, various different types of objects, craft and smart materials.
The study will take place at the Lakeside Arts Centre, Nottingham on the 9th, 11th and 13th of February 2015 and should last no more than one hour.
We have limited places so if you interested in participating or require more information, please contact Roma Patel via email: [email protected]
The Research Study date and time options are:
Monday 9th - 10-11, 11.30-12.30, 1-2, 2.15-3.15
Wednesday 11th - 10-11, 11.30-12.30
