Moving to Wiltshire

Dear all,
I am currently living in Wimbledon with my two children (7 and 5) and my DH and we want to start a new life outside of London. I grew up in London so I do not know a lot about other places. We want to live somewhere in the countryside perhaps in a small village but still with a reasonable amount of shops nearby. DH needs a commute into London so there needs to be a train. Our budget for the move £1m so money is not an issue. Any help greatly appreciated :)

Have you looked near Bath Somerset? Prob worth looking at or Marlborough way.

Great choice, Wiltshire is a beautiful county. Bradford on Avon is a beautiful town with two excellent primary schools and a secondary school too. There are lots of lovely local villages too and Bath is just 9 miles away. Bradford on Avon has a train station, via Bath to London Chippenham is 20 mins away with direct train to London. Corsham is a gem too between Bradford and Chippenham. Bradford on Avon here too (hi sarasmo!) and we love it. Moved from London last year. Beautiful town, lovely community, good transport links and great schools, what's not to like?
