relocating to Rawtenstall

Hi there everyone I'm new to this and have only just discovered the local mumsnet section. I just after some advice please I thinking of relocating to Rawtenstall and I'm wanting to know what its like to live there,things to do,what the schools are like etc.

Oops forgot to say I have two boys 8and 10. Eldest will be starting secondary school this September

Rawtenstall isn't in Oldham/ Rochdale. Its in Lancashire and just on the border with Ramsbottom in Bury. You might get some advice about the local area from those local groups.
