Kiwis Nursery in Meadvale, feedback please

My DS goes to Kiwi's, he has been going for over a year now.

The setting isn't great, no real outside area and it looks a bit run down.. But, it's fab. The ladies who work there are all Mum's themselves, not teenagers. They are so friendly and caring, the best group of staff I have ever come across in a child care setting (and because of my job, I know a few!)

The older children go on walks around the local area and on little trips, they have very good equipment for the children inside and do a variety of activities.

If you want to ask me any specific questions, then go ahead.

You're brilliant, this is so helpful! Thank you. I'm so pleased, it sounds lovely. My priority is always the care/carers. I have her signed up for 2x pm sessions elsewhere but have new baby and definitely would love a setting where she might be able to spend a whole day, or I coud get an additional half day session at least as she is used to being in almost FT nursery setting before I began maternity leave which she absolutely loved. So I will definitely to visit Kiwis for a taster when they restart term again based on your feedback. Great news. Just hope they have space, eek!

I will likely be back soon with additional queries, once I've more time to consider this based on the above. So thanks again!

How did you get on at Kiwi's? Just wondered if your DD has moved there and if she has settled in ok?

Ooh I only just saw this. So sorry normally I get email note if there is a new message.

But yes, we tried it on yours and a couple of other recommendations locally and she loves it. In fact so much so that we are finishing at the other nursery at end of term and are increasing sessions at kiwis instead as she's enjoying it so much and the session times work so well for us and my youngest son. It's perfect!

So thank you so much for your feedback as without it I would easily have continued to dismiss it!

That's great to hear - is she upstairs or downstairs? I may have to swoosh my mumsnet scarf around at drop off as i've never met another real life mumsnetter!!
