I remember your thread - great that you are joining us here in windy Cumbria.

The Sure Start Centre is very active in the school building so that would be a good start (if you have younger children that is).

I've been over here nearly 7 years now...married a Cumbrian and stayed! Love it here but very close to his family and far from mine!

Barrow working mam/drinker of tea /devourer of cake here. Not exactly stuck for things to do but new face's are always good to meet. Plus, I'm always looking for a distraction from pot washing! A change is as good as a rest so they say.

I'm a bit late to this post, but only just discovered the local forums. I moved near Whitehaven two years ago and I'm expecting my first baby in December. I don't know anyone round here with little ones, but looking forward to getting involved locally.
