Hi All,
I have just been reading two articles about two tragic mothers who suffered from severe Postnatal Depression, both cases lead to fatal consequences.
Bearing in mind that having a new baby is sometimes the most shocking and unsettling time in our lives it is unsurprising that new mothers don't feel a little off kilter. This can be compounded because the media gives the impression that it is wrong to feel anything but in awe of being a mother.
Do vulnerable mothers in Cumbria feel that they can turn to anyone, or an organisation to ask for advice without fear of negative repercussion or do you just hope that it will go away because there is no one to talk to?
Best wishes
Sian
