Hello all - who's up for a meet-up?

Hello everyone - I am SDTG, your local ambassador. I live near Paisley, with dh, three dses (though ds1 is away at university), two dogs and a cat.

I have met up with some of the Glasgow mumsnetters, and the Glasgow area Woolly Hug people too, and I think it would be a good idea to have a Renfrewshire meet-up, if anyone else is interested.

I thought we could find somewhere fairly easy to get to (Dobbies at Braehead, or somewhere in Paisley, perhaps), and meet up for coffee and cake.

Anyone interested?

I live in Paisley and would love to meet up.
I'm a single mum and have 3 children, 2 sons and a daughter.

What days/times would be good for you, muddledup?

I am usually free a Wednesday and a Friday, but can be free other days if I have no hospital appointments, anytime suits as my oldest is at college and my younger 2 are at high school so can let themselves in if I'm not about.

That's great - would you like to meet up for a coffee sometime? If we decide a date, time and place, we can post it on here, and see if anyone else comes.

I don't know Paisley that well, so I don't know anywhere specific to suggest - unless Braehead or Dobbies would be possible for you.

Yes that would be lovely.
Braehead would probably be best as Paisley doesnt really have anything, I can get the bus straight there.

Hiya, I'm up for attending a meetup too. Free most days, or specifically mornings...my kids are all very young so it can be a bit hit or miss...I would almost definitely have one or two in tow!

How about next Friday, the 15th of March, 10.30 at Costa coffee, in the Food Court - or would people prefer Dobbies?

That's ok for me, I can do costa easier than dobbies.

Shall we say Costa, then? 10.30am on the 15th - and hopefully Esme will be able to make it too? We'll have to work out a way to recognise eachother - a pack of naice ham and a frootshoot on the table, perhaps! Grin

Is everything still ok for tomorrow?

Everything's fine for tomorrow, muddledup - I'm looking forward to it.

I'll be outside costa coffee at the food court at 10.30am. I'm a large lady, with very short brown hair, my glasses will be perched on top of my head, and I'll be carrying a white and flowery cath kidston bag - will that be enough for you to recognise me, do you think?

I'm just home now, and I had a lovely time meeting you, muddleup. I couldn't believe it when I looked at a clock, and we'd been blethering for over two hours! We must do it again, and maybe some other Renfrewshire MNers will join us.

In the meantime, I have copied and pasted this from prettybird:

Thought I should mention that a group of us are meeting on Monday 18th in the Burrell Cafe (downstairs at the Burrell Collection) at 11 until mid afternoon. Technically most of us are MN Woolly Hug blanketeers (knitters and crocheters) but in practice most of time we just eat cake and natter! ;-)

That would be lovely, Boringsingle - I will have to get organised and organise another meet up.

Are there any days or times that suit you, or that are difficult for you?
