Hello all - who's up for a meet-up?

Hello everyone - I am SDTG, your local ambassador. I live near Paisley, with dh, three dses (though ds1 is away at university), two dogs and a cat.

I have met up with some of the Glasgow mumsnetters, and the Glasgow area Woolly Hug people too, and I think it would be a good idea to have a Renfrewshire meet-up, if anyone else is interested.

I thought we could find somewhere fairly easy to get to (Dobbies at Braehead, or somewhere in Paisley, perhaps), and meet up for coffee and cake.

Anyone interested?

Bump - for the weekend crowd!

muddleup Sun 03-Mar-13 19:10:41

I live in Paisley and would love to meet up.
I'm a single mum and have 3 children, 2 sons and a daughter.

What days/times would be good for you, muddledup?

muddleup Sun 03-Mar-13 19:56:49

I am usually free a Wednesday and a Friday, but can be free other days if I have no hospital appointments, anytime suits as my oldest is at college and my younger 2 are at high school so can let themselves in if I'm not about.

That's great - would you like to meet up for a coffee sometime? If we decide a date, time and place, we can post it on here, and see if anyone else comes.

I don't know Paisley that well, so I don't know anywhere specific to suggest - unless Braehead or Dobbies would be possible for you.

muddleup Sun 03-Mar-13 20:24:44

Yes that would be lovely.
Braehead would probably be best as Paisley doesnt really have anything, I can get the bus straight there.

Hiya, I'm up for attending a meetup too. Free most days, or specifically kids are all very young so it can be a bit hit or miss...I would almost definitely have one or two in tow!

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius Tue 05-Mar-13 14:54:15

How about next Friday, the 15th of March, 10.30 at Costa coffee, in the Food Court - or would people prefer Dobbies?

muddleup Tue 05-Mar-13 15:24:07

That's ok for me, I can do costa easier than dobbies.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius Wed 06-Mar-13 11:11:29

Shall we say Costa, then? 10.30am on the 15th - and hopefully Esme will be able to make it too? We'll have to work out a way to recognise eachother - a pack of naice ham and a frootshoot on the table, perhaps! grin

muddleup Wed 06-Mar-13 13:23:22

smile Yes thats fine.

Doha Tue 12-Mar-13 18:27:41

Gosh late to this thread and am just about to go on holiday tomorrow. I would have loved to meet up with you lovely ladies (if l am not deemed too old!!!)

Live near Paisley, very near Braehead have DCx3--perhaps l can gatecrash the next meet up????

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius Tue 12-Mar-13 18:49:18

Of course you would be more than welcome, Doha - age is irrelevant, luckily, as I am 48 not in the first flush of youth! grin

Doha Tue 12-Mar-13 21:03:45

yeahhhhh l am only 2 years older SDT--so not quite a geriatric yet !!!

Count me in next time if it could be my work free day--Wednesday. Hope you have fun at the meet up

muddleup Thu 14-Mar-13 13:13:54

Is everything still ok for tomorrow?

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius Thu 14-Mar-13 13:47:59

Everything's fine for tomorrow, muddledup - I'm looking forward to it.

I'll be outside costa coffee at the food court at 10.30am. I'm a large lady, with very short brown hair, my glasses will be perched on top of my head, and I'll be carrying a white and flowery cath kidston bag - will that be enough for you to recognise me, do you think?

muddleup Thu 14-Mar-13 15:41:22

Lol, yes.
I will have a black coat on and jeans. I have just past shoulder length brown hair.
will see you tomorrow.

muddleup Fri 15-Mar-13 10:24:24

Not sure if you will see this, I'm sat on bus at Renfrew town centre do may be a wee bit late depending on how nice the traffic lights are to me.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius Fri 15-Mar-13 13:31:23

I'm just home now, and I had a lovely time meeting you, muddleup. I couldn't believe it when I looked at a clock, and we'd been blethering for over two hours! We must do it again, and maybe some other Renfrewshire MNers will join us.

In the meantime, I have copied and pasted this from prettybird:

Thought I should mention that a group of us are meeting on Monday 18th in the Burrell Cafe (downstairs at the Burrell Collection) at 11 until mid afternoon. Technically most of us are MN Woolly Hug blanketeers (knitters and crocheters) but in practice most of time we just eat cake and natter! ;-)

muddleup Thu 21-Mar-13 23:40:14

Hiya sorry took me too long to reply, I ended up in hospital for four days, just got home today.
Was really nice meeting you, will need to try do it again some time xx

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius Fri 22-Mar-13 10:34:53

Ohhh no - I am so sorry to hear that, muddleup - I hope you are better now. thanks

muddleup Wed 27-Mar-13 22:35:46

Hiya, yes feeling better now, just got to wait for appointment with the surgeon to come through then hopefully things will get sorted.
