Hello all,

Hope you are all not too cold in this snowy weather!!

We are looking for Local Ambassadors for the Richmond upon Thames site.

As a LA you would have your own area where you can organise 'meet-ups' for other local mums and tots, in a local cafe, soft play venue or a park. It's totally up to you. Ideally we would have monthly meet ups, but it's up to you however or how often you want to organise it.

It's a great way to get yourself out and meet other mums in your local area.
We need Local Ambassadors for the following areas:

  1. Barnes, Mortlake, Sheen
  2. Kew
  3. Richmond
  4. Ham, Petersham
  5. Twickenham, St. Margarets
  6. Whitton
  7. Teddigton
  8. Hamptons

We are working to organise discounts and freebies for our ambassadors with our advertisers (when this is up and running) and other local businesses and you would also get a shiny MN card which you could use to negotiate your own special treats (ie free coffees for you at the venue you use for your meet up or free entry to a local attraction in return for a kind review on the site).

If anyone in interested please PM me with where abouts in Richmond you live and we can get organised from there.
You can also drop me a line to //[email protected]

Thanks

Mumsnet Richmond is calling local people to become a Local Ambassador.
Would you like to organise a regular-ish meet-up in your Local area?

It doesn't have to involve coffee and toddlers. It could be an evening in a gin palace, a frenzy of biscuit-making at a cookery school or a trip to the nearest canoeing centre. We won't judge.

You get to be called Local Ambassador (with a special calling card, no less) and there are some shiny Meet-ups pages in Local which will make get-togethers easier to organise. Here are a few examples of Meet-ups that are already active:

//local.mumsnet.com/islington/group-meet-ups/islington

Of course, you can just join an existing group (look on local.mumsnet.com to find your nearest site), but anyone who signs up before midnight onWensday Feb 6 to be a Local Ambassador will receive a Dodo Book For Cooks ([http://www.dodopad.com/shop/dodo-book-for-cooks.html] to archive their favourite recipes and a Dodo Household Stuff Book [http://www.dodopad.com/shop/dodo-household-stuff-book.html] to keep their paperwork in order.

Please email [email protected] putting 'Dodo Ambassador' in the subject field and stating in the email Richmond upon Thames/town.

The towns that need a Local ambassador are:

  1. Barnes, Mortlake, Sheen (taken, volonteers welcome)
  2. Kew
  3. Richmond
  4. Ham, Petersham (taken, volonteers welcome)
  5. Twickenham, St. Margarets
  6. Whitton
  7. Teddigton
  8. Hamptons

This opportunity is also good to put up on your CV, as this shows that you are a proactive person.

Thank you all in advance!

(waiting bribing the ambassadors with tea and biscuits, even cakes) ;)
