Hi, am in Lancaster, have a 2 year old DS and am 20 weeks with DS2 (feels a bit like I'm on Blind Date!) and I'm a youth worker

DisplacedDiva · 08/01/2013 20:20

Oh yes...(d'uh) am 12 weeks pg with DC2. So, does this mean none of us are that far from Lancaster (or could possibly get there...) and so if we wanted to could drink tea and eat cake meet up? Smile

I feel like saying 'I want world peace, and in my spare time I like swimming and origami' like some fat pregnant contestant in 'Miss World'!

But are you ready for the swimsuit round?!

Ahhhh i want to cry today.... My lovely wake once only baby has faffed and buggered about for the past two nights. So tired! Blowing comedy raspberries in my face at 6am.....

Swimsuits? "runs away and hides". Not sure I was ever ready for the dreaded swimsuits, though I do a nice line in evening gowns....

Sleep has just eluded me for the last two days again (have had big problem with this since beginning of pg) Finally got to sleep at 5.00 and had to get up at 8.00...can hardly even see straight...

Maybe whatever is waking me up is also waking baby, Palehousewife? Smile

Hello fellow northerners!!
I'm nearly 37 weeks with my first. About 3 miles from rli and thinking of trying home birth, any wisdom welcomed!!
Also having issues with sleep, was up most of Tuesday night as he was having a disco in there, up most of last night cos he wasn't! Oh the worries of near parenthood!! Also seem to be getting a lot of inane comments telling me to enjoy sleep, well obviously i would if I could dur!

Palehousewife it felt like mine was having a party in there!

Redroserascal Hello!!! Welcome! I've not thought of a home birth, mainly because they won't let me, but there are a couple of other people on the thread considering it... I'm only 12 weeks, and if I can't sleep now, am dreading later on.... Smile

Hi all. I saw the thread on pregnancy but haven't had chance to reply. I'm nearly 35 weeks with DC2, DD1 is 21 months. I live in morecambe and have just started maternity leave HOORAY!! I am 27 but have met mums of all ages round here.

Aqua natal at salt ayre was good first time round to meet people but be warned its freezing.

I didn't do NCT but found the NHS classes ok. If anyone plans to bf poulton children's centre group on a Wednesday 11-1 is brilliant. I plan to be there most weeks from march onwards.

That's all my tips I think for anyone having DC1, anyone else expecting DC2 and worried about coping???!!! Any tips for those on their 3rd?

I too got a letter advising me RLI might be full and panicked somewhat. Has anyone heard of anyone being turned away? Helme Chase isn't an option (I had a pph last time and tbh didn't cope very well with the pain last time so may want an epidural again) barrow is a long way from morecambe whilst contracting!
