Welcome to the New MumsnetDundee Site - Whar are ye, Dundonian Lassies?

Settle in with me this cold and blustery November evening for... what else? Tea and tunnocks.

Although, if you prefer Wine then I am happy to join you for a glass or two

How many Dundee based MNetters do we have then? And who would be interested in joining in the MumsnetDundee site, sharing tips and ideas, recommending child friendly cafes and restaurants (and great places to escape the DC for an evening).

The wind is whistling through the local site like a gale down the Hilltown. It would be great to fill it with fun events and perhaps the odd meet-up.

You can keep up with MumsnetDundee on Twitter and Facebook

Come and have a look at the new local pages and add some content.

What do you like to do? Any great tips for other MNetters?

I am your local editor, and we hope to make MNDundee a really busy marketplace for MNetters in Dundee. Find places to go, businesses that are tried and tested by other MNetters, get discount on goods in local stores...

Check out the Local Site for tips on what to do with your DC, such as the Broughty Ferry Library kids reading group.

We are looking for Local Ambassadors, who organise local meetups and help fill the local site with great content.

Hurrah. Am sending you Tunnocks Brownies as a reward for being first poster on the Local Site Wink

They are not available in the shops but I have a local drug dealer supplier.

Seriously. My colleagues are in a choc coma this afternoon and I have strict instructions not to bring any more baked goods into work.

Hello, I'm living in Errol at the moment, so in close enough proximity to Dundee!

Brownies sound grand.....

I soooo want to try a Tunnocks brownie. You can send your baked goods to Muirhead if you like Wink

Hello Errolite - how are you today?

Brownies are quite delish.

You have reminded me to add the Errol Car Boot Sale to the listings. If anyone can think of anything else that you would recommend in the area, please add them. I have only recently returned to the city, so looking for new ideas.

I hope that the local site will grow in popularity. It will be good to find local recommendations.

We hope to have offers from local businesses - am working on that right now.

Had a lovely lunch at Jessie's Kitchen - definitely one to recommend. Can't believe it's taken me this long to try it out.

Also arranged a craft night - make Xmas deco. Will put up a listing with info when I get home. Would you please all share. We have decided on byob so should be good fun.

I'll put the listing up now, Errolite. Didn't get around to it earlier.

Was busy scrubbing the kitchen. Am feeling virtuous and happy now.
