Hi there, I have a 2 year old girl and a 3 year old boy. Im looking for friendly mums in my area who would like to meet up from time to time with their children to share a bit of adult company while the kids play around. Most of my current friends do not have children at present and looking for like minded mothers to spend a little time with. I live in Lenzie.

Get in touch if you fancy meeting up.
Thanks alison

We used freckles the clown - she was fantastic. You'll see her at farmers markets in Patrick and queens park, she face-paints. She organised loads of games and dancing and catered to a mixed age group at our daughter's 4th birthday party in July. Would highly recommend her.

Hello, am moving to Milngavie in about three weeks with my husband and two kids aged 4 and 2. Don't really know anyone in the area. Does anyone have suggestions of good things to do for the kids, places to go etc. Would also be up for meeting any local mums for coffee/play sessions etc. Thanks!

Just to say that if you go to the Meet-ups section and have a look in Glasgow South, there is a meet-up next Monday (18th) at the Burrell Cafe (Burrell Collection in Pollok Park). I've doubled it up with a Scottish MN Woolly Hugs meet-up so there may or may not be some crocheting and knitting going on, but there will be a lot of cake eating and nattering! Grin

There will be at least one toddler there and possibly a baby too. A few others of us have kids that are already at school - so it's a mixed bag.

Hi, I can't seem to add a new thread but I am looking for advice as we are hoping to move to Bearsden/Milngavie in ~6mnths. I have a nearly 2 and nearly 4 yr old. I am happy with all secondary schools in area and primary schools have heard good things about Bearsden primary and Mosshead. But what about Milngavie primaries? Are there any areas to avoid in these regions? I have scared myself by finding lots of details about local devlopment that seems to suggest that all/most open space around Milngavie are likely to be devloped in the future. Anyone from Mains Estate? We'd llike to be near walks etc. Many thanks, or advice about starting thread appreciated!
